§ 01 — The work
We hire documentary directors who can carry a film from a pitched treatment through delivery — and who treat every project as a reported piece of journalism, not a brand engagement.
You will work directly with the studio's executive producer, the writing room, and the client to shape stories, develop treatments, lead production, and supervise post. Our films run twelve to thirty minutes, are shot patiently, and are designed to live well past the campaign that funded them.
We work in the vérité and observational traditions, with original score, careful sound, and editorial guardrails. We expect our directors to defend an edit decision the way a good editor defends a sentence: with reasons, not preferences.
