§ 01 — The work

We are looking for an executive producer who has done the actual work — directing, editing, producing — and can now do it across a slate. You will be responsible for a small portfolio of projects at any given time, owning budget, schedule, team, and the editorial standard of the work that ships.

This is a senior role on a small team. You will be a peer to the heads of film, audio, and editorial, and report directly to the studio's founder. You will say yes to projects, and you will say no to projects.

What we want is someone who can hold a film, a podcast, and a longform feature in their head at the same time, and recognize when one of the three is in trouble before anyone else does.

§ 02 — What we look for

  • 01Eight-plus years producing nonfiction work — film, audio, editorial, or some combination
  • 02Demonstrated portfolio of shipped projects with named credits
  • 03Track record managing budgets in the high six figures
  • 04Comfortable being the person who tells the founder a project should be killed
  • 05Strong taste — opinions are part of the job
